About UMTV

Making meaningful television

UMTV is an initiative of United Methodist Communications. We are interested in telling stories about people making a difference. We want to inform, inspire and engage audiences.

The purpose of UMTV.org is for newsrooms to have access to our stories. We provide scripts and locator information for each story, and stations can download them or request a dub. We hope to be a resource for producers struggling to find meaningful content for their shows.

Led by Fran Walsh, UMTV has a core team of producers housed at United Methodist Communications. UMTV has also created a network of news journalists across the country regularly contributing stories.
