With mom’s help, little Heather Martin is more computer savvy than most of her peers.

Heather Martin: “I’m going to Google.”

This six-year-old Oklahoma girl is a worldwide Internet celebrity because of a song written for her brother Shaun who is serving in Iraq.

Heather sings: “When are you coming home Shaun, when are you coming home? In my prayers I ask God to keep you safe, and I’m trying to be really brave.”

Cindy Martin wrote from her heart and her daughter brought the words to life.

Heather Martin: “I don’t know much about Iraq, I’ve never been there. I want them to stop fighting.”

The family first shared the song with their church, Cache (“cash”) United Methodist.

The Rev. Jennifer Long/Pastor, Cache United Methodist Church: “I’ve seen an incredible outpouring from the community and from the church. It’s opened a lot of hearts to let out some things that people have been holding in. It gives them an avenue to let that out and to say ‘Yeah, we’re hurting too.’”

The song has received more than a million and a half views on the Web site YouTube. It’s one of the most requested videos of all time.

Cindy Martin/Heather’s Mom: “So many people have written in and said how much it has made them cry and they thank you for the tears.”

Mom reading to Heather: “I hope her song becomes a hit, because it did with me. Thank you, Heather. Best of luck and prayers for your brother Shaun.”
