There are many types of soldiers, and they have different duties in wartime. Military chaplains have a unique place among the ranks. They share the same physical preparation as other servicepeople, but they also must be prepared to show, and share, their spiritual strength.

THESE EIGHTY SOLDIERS AREN’T JUST IN THE ARMY. AS PASTORS, RABBIS, AND PRIESTS, THEY’RE ALSO IN GOD’S ARMY.

(woman comes over wall) "Huhhh, hope you’re havin fun..."

THESE CHAPLAINS SPEND TWELVE WEEKS AT FORT JACKSON IN SOUTH CAROLINA...TRAINING TO BE ON THE FRONT LINES...AND LEARNING WHAT MAKES MILITARY PEOPLE CLICK.

"Soldiers are not gonna listen to someone comin’ up to them in a civilian uniform. If you haven’t been through what they’ve been through, you have no credibility."

AGE IS NO EXCUSE AT THIS BOOT CAMP. EVERYONE HAS TO HANDLE OBSTACLES, LIKE THIS 75 FOOT TOWER.

2nd Lt. Demetria Ledare: "Are you prepared to go to war? If that’s what I have to do , yes sir."

2nd Lt. William Butler: "Right now I’d say I'm emotionally ready but there are more things I think this course can offer me."

IT’S ALL PART OF UNDERSTANDING THE DAILY CHALLENGES SOLDIERS FACE … TO HELP THEM ON BOTH THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL BATTLEFIELD.
